Industry: Fashion 

This client runs an online fashion store for prom and party dresses. They offer different styles of dresses and accessories to women of all ages, especially young girls getting ready for prom.

The Challenge

This client’s business has been in operation for over four years. Unfortunately, organic traffic and visibility were poor. The revenue also dropped since the visitors were no longer flocking the site and making purchases in large numbers.  

The client’s business has great potential, as they offer dresses and accessories for teens planning to showcase their gorgeous outfits at prom. They also offer dresses for wedding guests, which is a good business.  

Unfortunately, low traffic and online visibility made this client unable to continue shelling big bucks to hire external SEO agencies. To make matters worse, all the agencies they have hired in the past were a waste of time and resources. They couldn’t produce the high ROI expected.  

 So, when this client contacted The Michigan SEO, the objectives were put forward.  

  • Improve traffic from organic search 
  • Improve ranking for primary keywords 
  • Build global awareness 

Our Approach

The on-page SEO was the first area we focused on. We analyzed what has been done and what needs to be done. We fixed issues on duplicate content, title tags, broken internal and external links, missing alt tags, broken images, Meta descriptions, and temporary redirects.  

After fixing on-page SEO issues, long-tail keyword research became the next priority. We needed to provide focused keywords to our writers to create high-quality and original content for our client’s blog. 

We focused on keywords that will generate organic search traffic, which may likely impact sales. The writers who wrote the content throughout this project were expert fashion writers with massive experience in the niche. So, all the content uploaded was top-notch. We focused on target keywords that could bring massive impact.   

The client wanted traffic and sales to improve. And that was what we focused on achieving.

The Results

The results after 7 months were impressive. Our team was consistently monitoring progress and putting in the work to achieve results, and it happened. Within 7 months, the client recorded a 66% increase in organic traffic. Additionally, we were able to rank 9 competitive keywords within this period. We were able to drive organic traffic through the client’s blog and localized website.
